It’s been a little cooler here at the ranch, just 100-102 degrees F lately, and mercifully dropping into the upper 70s at night which allows us to cool less and save power.
That all ends going into next week. Warmer nights means that to stay comfortable, our swamp cooler runs 24/7.
This year has been tough as our batteries are reaching the end of their useful life, and our system seems to have lost some output. We’re currently pricing a solar upgrade. We have solar panels that are 25 years old. I suspect a short in one or two pairs, but we’ll test each one after they are replaced. They’ll probably gain a new life somewhere else.
Meanwhile, it’s hot!
